Earn a FREE CRUISE over the Easter holiday - when you get 5 new teams to attend the AmeriCup. it’s that simple!

Award as many bids as you like. 5 separate TEAMS must attend in order to qualify for the free trip. That’s 5 teams – not organizations!
(ie: An All Star gym could potentially have 5 teams within their program. If all attend, you would get credit for 5 teams and earn the free trip!)

 

And..... You still earn $100 cash back for every new team tHAT ATTENDS THE AMERICUP on top of the FREE cruise. COMPENSATION PAID AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE AMERICUP. YOU WILL HAVE SPENDING MONEY FOR YOUR SPRING GET AWAY!

how does the REGIONAL DIRECTOR CRUISE incentive break down?
5 teams = 1 free trip* plus $500 cash!
10 teams = 2 free trips* plus $1,000 cash!
15 teams = 2 free trips* PLUS 1 AIR plus $1,500 cash!
20 teams = 2 free trips* PLUS 2 AIR plus $2000 cash!


*Unused cruise awards have no cash back value. Guests who sail must have a valid passport to travel. Double occupancy for free cruise trips / 2 per room. Air Voucher = $300

WHO CAN I GIVE BIDS TO?
Any school team or all star program (youth – high school – college) that you feel is talented enough to attend the event you select or will have the talent level one month prior to the event. 

You may award bids to cheer or dance teams.

 

You may base your bids on their standings from last year if at least HALF of the members remain the same.

 

You may award 1 – 100 bids.  The choice is yours.

 

UPA recognizes that SOME TEAMS MAY HAVE ALREADY CHOSEN WHERE TO GO THIS YEAR, WE WILL HONOR YOUR BIDS AWARDED this season FOR the 2009 EVENT AS WELL AS NEXT YEAR’S CHAMPIONSHIP – 2010! YOU will STILL EARN THE CREDIT AND COMPENSATION IF THEY ATTEND NEXT YEAR! SO... GET THE WORD OUT AND AWARD THOSE BIDS.

HOW DO I AWARD BIDS?
Email, mail or hand deliver an official bid letter to the prospective team.

WHAT EVENTS CAN I GIVE BIDS TO?
Our main goal is to have every state represented at the UPA AmeriCup in Minneapolis. However, you may find a team who is more interested in other events, that is fine.  Just indicate which events on the nomination form so we can input it into our computer. Keep in mind that the Pro Bowl Tour is only for individuals.  If you award bids for this – you need to get the individuals name and home address (for all). The Capital One Bowl is a group/team event.  The entire entourage can attend.

HOW DO I GIVE A BID?Submit online THE required bid information WHICH IS IMMEDIATELY senT to UPA. AS OF 11/18/08 ALL bids MUST BE SUBMITTED online. this will insure information is accurately inputed into our system. Once a bid has been submitted, an automated email will be sent to your team contact. It will say they have earned a bid from you (Your name)! WE ALSO ENCOURAGE YOU TO SEND A PERSONAL EMAIL AND/OR EMAIL POSTCARD THROUGH OUR SYSTEM.

The first RD who informed UPA via our online system will be credited with the bid and receive the compensation.

 

YOU may CHECK YOUR STATUS ANYTIME BY CONTACTING MALLORY@UPAINC.NET. SHE CAN UPDATE YOU ON which teams HAve REGISTERED FROM YOUR BID ENTRIES.

RECRUITING OF TEAMS
I know each of you will do an excellent job recruiting talented teams for our “Once in a Lifetime” events. Our standards are high as should be yours. Keep in mind however, that what you see now will be new, unpolished teams just getting together. If you have a gut feeling that the potential is there, then award the bid. The sooner they receive a bid, the sooner the can begin their fundraising programs. 

EMAIL ADDRESS
All Regional Directors have a personal UPA email address which is forwarded to your normal email. All RD’s emails begin with the first letter and spell out the last name @upainc.net (ie: Ruth Smith would be rsmith@upainc.net). Please TEST your email and make sure it forwards to your regular account. Notify us if it doesn’t so we can change/update our forwarding process.

SUBMIT Bidssumbit Team/Group Bid -- online (AS OF 11/18/08 all bids MUST be submitted online.)

Host a Regional Qualifier

If you are hosting a competition or event at your school/gym – we can help promote it!  All Regional Director events are qualifiers for UPA.
