What Does It Take To Become Officially Registered?

What If I Have A Participant On My Squad And Another Team?
That is fine. All participants are given a personal ID number. Connect with the other coach to determine who is officially registering
this individual. You will also need this number. There are no additional
fees for a participant to compete on two different teams (UNIQUE TO UPA). NOTE: that
time frames for team competition may be tight and the participant may
need to quickly report backstage for performances. Make sure your
performer is capable of doing this!
Can I Complete My Registration Information All At Once?
YES. UPA strongly encourages each team to submit any information
prior to their due dates if at all possible. ALL registration details
take place from the private coach login site. Upon Account Activation,
each coach will be given a private login password and user name to secure
their information. The sooner you complete the
information, the better it will be for UPA and organizing the event.
Are Crossovers Allowed?
YES. UPA allows crossovers. However,
special requests for performance competition order adjustments can not be
accommodated. Crossover participants are responsible for working within
the schedule. UPA recommends participants crossover on a maximum of two
routines. Note that CHEERLEADING Worlds does not allow crossovers. DANCE WORLDS ALLOWS PERFORMERS TO COMPETE IN 2 ROUTINES FOR THE SAME GYM. See usasf.net for

Register your entire organization under ONE account for management ease. Roster breakouts will happen later.
COMPETITORS COMING AS AN INDIVIDUAL ONLY MUST SET UP AN account So you can sign up for events.
ALL TEAMS WILL CHOOSE A PASSWORD TO ACCESS THEIR CONFIDENTIAL COACH WEBSITE.
After you register and get your Coach login, immediately go to your Coach Website to reserve your Hotel block in Step 1.
After registering online and completing Step 1 on their Coach Website, returning teams from LAST YEARS EVENT will be given access to past rosters. Individuals do not need to be re-entered. New Waivers Must be printed, signed and mailed in.
Accounts will be activated upon receipt of HALF your hotel balance AND YOUR HOTEL WILL BE CONFIRMED.
Once your account is activated, the remaining Steps on your Coach Website will open and you'll be able to enter your roster and competitions, ROOMING LIST, IND AND SMALL GROUP EVENTS, ETC.

Block For Coach & Participants (most common—best guarantee of entire team staying in same hotel)
Room For Coach Only—parents are booking guest rooms for themselves & participants online with UPA
No Hotel—parents are booking all rooms online with UPA
No Hotel—Commuter living within 50 miles of Minneapolis/COLLEGE TEAM (exception)
NOTE: All Participants must be listed on a room somewhere (unless commuter/COLLEGE TEAM exception)

All hotels are blocked on a
first-come, first-serve based on the Activation date.
You may pay your deposit by using a credit card online or by submitting a check by mail. UPA PREFERS A CHECK.
CREDIT CARD online: your account will immediately be Activated
and your hotel block will be reserved for you. NOTE: A 3.5% SURCHARGE WILL BE ADDED TO ALL CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS and/or refunds.
SUBMIT A CHECK by mail: the date the check received
in our office will reflect your Activation date. This date will be used
to block your hotel.
STEP 2: ROSTER & PACKAGESAT THIS TIME YOU WILL LIST ALL YOUR PERFORMERS FOR YOUR WHOLE ORGANIZATION AND CHOOSE THEIR ATHLETE PACKAGE AND ALA CARTE ITEMS. RETURNING TEAMS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO LAST YEAR’S PARTICIPANT INFO. OUR SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE GRADE & AGE.
STEP 3: COMPETITION SIGNUPAT THIS TIME YOU WILL CHOOSE YOUR TEAM DIVISIONS, AND INDIVIDUAL & SMALL GROUP EVENTS
STEP 4: ROOM ASSIGNMENTS, MISCELLANEOUS & FINALIZATION OF ENTIRE ACCOUNTAT THIS TIME YOU WILL NEED TO GIVE US ATTENDEE ROOMING LISTS. YOU WILL ENTER TEAM ACADEMIC INFORMATION, UPLOAD PICS, AND SUBMIT AS FINAL YOUR ENTIRE ACCOUNT
STEP 5: UPA CONFIRMS THE REGISTRATION IS COMPLETEAt this point, your competitions will be entered on the schedule. |
